In MITO you will find exclusive collections of very talented artists, some of them already with great experience and followers in the NFT world, others taking their first steps in this blockchain adventure.
More than 40 artists have already confirmed that they will publish collections in MITO and three of them are scheduled for the coming weeks. The first three will be Javier Arrés, Mercedes deBellard and Luís Toledo (La Prisa Mata). Three creators with great projection in the NFT world, with very contrasting styles and great artistic value.
POLYGON BLOCKCHAIN
We have chosen for MITO the Polygon blockchain. A third generation network that works on the Ethereum ecosystem but proposes a sidechain solution making it more efficient, more scalable, more economical and environmentally more sustainable. Using Polygon as a blockchain makes the buying and selling of works in MITO be done with the token of its ecosystem: the Matic. Undoubtedly, one of the tokens that have grown the most during 2020 and 2021.
LESS GAS FEE
One of the big problems encountered by many Ethereum-based NFTs platforms is the high fees paid to this network for the minting works or for the validation of transactions. This problem disappears in MITO thanks to the Polygon network. The commission for validation and minting operations of NFTs are reduced to cents.
MORE SUSTAINABLE
We have always had in mind that we wanted to join this revolution by contributing our vision and creating a curated art platform. But we didn’t want to do it at any price. It is estimated that minting a non-fungible token on some platforms can consume up to 340 kWh. This amount of electrical energy is similar to that consumed by an European citizen for a month. The Polygon blockchain network on which MITO operates reduces this consumption by 99.99%, minimizing the energy impact of minting one NFT to 0.002 kWh. A similar consumption like a credit card transaction.
FOCUS ON OUR OWN MARKETPLACE
This will be the most important implementation we will carry out during the first months of MITO. We are currently working on the secondary market to be able to offer a secure, functional, and user-friendly buying and reselling space. Very soon we will have this functionality.
